Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry that includes procedures, treatments and products designed to treat, prevent and correct tooth irregularities, malposition and deformations. This area includes teeth straightening, teeth alignment, fixing gaps between teeth and a variety of malocclusion problems. The orthodontic problem can exhibit itself with a single tooth or involve several teeth and even the entire jaw. These problems are very common and are caused by different genetic and/or environmental factors – most of which we have no control over. Luckily, today dental science can provide excellent results in fixing most of these orthodontics issues.
Dr. Fadie Khoury's Center for Dental Aesthetics and Implant Dentistry offers superior orthodontics treatments carried out by expert, highly experiences doctors, using innovative technologies and the newest and best products and treatment models that allow you to better control your dental expenses.
The Center for Dental Aesthetics and Implant Dentistry performs teeth straightening procedures using more "traditional" methods (braces…) but also offers patients the most innovative and advance solutions (Invisalign, Inman Aligner…). So, you can choose the best treatment plan that suites your needs, budget, timeline, etc. No matter the orthodontics path you choose, we pride ourselves in delivering excellent and long term results.
The importance of early orthodontics treatment
When talking about tooth malocclusion and mal-positioning issues, it is vital to address the problem as early as possible. Therefore, most malocclusion procedures are performed at younger ages. However, we also offer and perform orthodontics procedures for adults as well. Early treatment and the application of corrective measures ensures better results by "catching" the problem in its initial stages a help prevent later dental and orthodontic complications.
Teeth straightening methods
With young children and teenagers, orthodontic problems are usually the result of teeth growing in the "wrong" direction. This results in misaligned teeth and a variety of malocclusion issues often with aesthetic or functional difficulties. In adults, orthodontic and malocclusion problems can develop following severe gum disease, trauma to the teeth, loss of jawbone mass, etc. Each instance and problem require a personalized solution and orthodontics approach – This is why Dr. Fadie Khoury and his team insist on a fully personalized treatment plan.
Here at The Center for Dental Aesthetics and Implant Dentistry, we offer patients of all ages, innovative teeth straightening solutions, with amazing results, fast treatment times while using discreet products that allow you to lead a normal social and culinary lifestyle.
All teeth straightening products and solutions operate by applying pressure on the teeth, which forces them to slowly and gradually align into place.
Full metal braces: The oldest method for teeth straightening. A metal brace system is installed on the teeth, usually the upper and lower teeth lines. This is extremely visible, and treatment can take a relatively long time.
Metal braces, with teeth shade connectors: similar to regular metal braces but where some of the components emulate the teeth colors for better aesthetic results.
Lingual / inner braces: A slightly more discreet teeth straightening method compared to front metal braces. Here, the braces are installed in the inner/back part of the teeth. They are less visible but may be uncomfortable.
Inman Aligner: A newer and convenient teeth straightening method. Here we use transparent plastic aligners that are visible but much less so than metal braces. The Inman Aligner is used only for the front teeth with results being achieved within a few weeks. An added advantage is that the Inman aligner can be removed by the patient when they want to brush their teeth and when eating.
Invisalign: The leading and most innovative teeth straightening solution available today. Designed for front teeth alignment, the method uses transparent aligners that are manufactured according to personalized measurements. Every few weeks and as treatment progresses, the patient replaces the custom Invisalign aligner to achieve a better fit for optimal results. The Invisalign aligners can be removed to eat and brush the teeth and are suitable for a wide range of orthodontic problems. The Center for Dental Aesthetics and Implant Dentistry uses this product and highly recommends it.
